checking & unchecking updates

Hi,

Is there a way to check and uncheck optional updates when doing a Windows update? I got three updates yesterday, two of them optional and could not find a way to stop one of them from downloading and installing.

Thanks.

I don’t think so, any particular reason why you would not want a particular update?

Usually not, but I have found that some optional updates to graphics and other programs can mess up screen readers. Just asking and their ability to work within those programs.
