Hello everyone, Welcome to Windows 10 October 2020 Update (Version 20H2/build 19042) era. With the release of build 19042.508 to release preview channel, we have now entered 20H2 era. Instructions will remain the same, as 20H2 is Version 2004 with features added on top, the most important of which is Chromium Edge being the default browser from now on. As for calling it “five minutes”, it has to do with the way October 2020 Update will be distributed and installed: it is another enablement package just like 1903 to 1909 upgrade route. Hi all, As a follow-up: as with previous feature updates, regular KB alerts for Version 2004 will cease 60 days after 20H2 is released, so until December 2020 at the earliest (no later than January 12, 2021). Cheers, Joseph

Hi, You can, except that by default Chromium Edge will be set as default web browser. This is most noticeable if you were using deprecated Edge. Cheers, Joseph

No, the default browser can most certainly be changed from Edge
to any browser that is installed on your machine. In fact, I would
dare say that updating from the May update to the October update

I think the Chromium Edge is much more crisp and responsive than Google Chrome has ever been. I a-tribute this to the fact that Microsoft isn’t doing all the behind the curtain snooping that is the basis of Google’s business model.
