locked Chromium Edge: no major updates to stable channel for a while #chromiumedge

Hi,

For some of you using Chromium Edge, this is old news – no major updates to stable channel for a while (beta/dev/canary channels are not affected):

https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2020/03/20/update-stable-channel-releases/

Cheers,

Very bad news, coronavirus is forcing the whole world towards destruction!

This is the time to be united.

This is the time to show each other that being the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, we all human beings are brothers and sisters.

Hmmph, well advice for lockdown is stay home and interact with those you usually interact with in your family as long as they don't interact with anyone else.

Stay home and wait for us the government to sort it out.

It will eventually be sorted out.

I have watched enough of these end world movies and drama to realise that this is the first stage of the end.

No one takes me seriously but it probably is.

We are told to be kind and caring and connect via virtual means.

However with a lot of businesses including tourism and airlines going to be quite dead sooner or later who knows.

I have a family member working in a department store that tells me they have enough resources for a month but no more.

So everyone better get it right.

Everyone is hoping to survive, but everyone says there will be a short lag where things get really bad for at least 2 weeks before we know if we made the right decision.

I personally think since I am in a small island nation of sorts that we have some chance of surviving maybe.

But only a small chance.

But we will see, we will know if we succeeded or not.

Most of us have watched enough of the stages to know that a lot of the world is at the final stage now, the last 2 stages are everywhere so I won't tell you, I just wish the world hurries up and decide what it wants to do.

I hate limbo.

I think if you want to spread dystopian gloom it might be better if you start a separate list for that or join an existing one, I’m sure there are plenty of them out there.

CORVID-19 is a very serious problem and it will take the efforts of governments and the cooperation of citizens to get past it, but past it we’ll get, a vaccine will be developed in due time even if it takes another year or more for it to be widely available and the economy will recover.

The 1918/1919 Spanish Flu pandemic was far worse, the Great Depression was very bad and so were the two World Wars. Will some businesses fold? Absolutely. Will others spring up in their place? Absolutely. Let’s keep the list at least somewhat on the topic it was created for.

No, not that it will be over; but that we need to see some economic
normalcy as otherwise we'll drive ourselves into a depression.
BTW, South Korea may be the model President Trump has in mind and I hope
that we can achieve this.
It would be a great Easter presence as we celebrate Christ's resurrection
with a resurrection of a positive outlook towards the economy's future.

why is it so hard to understand that this list is not for political comments like yours. The list owner has stated repeatedly to stop!

It isn't hard to understand.   All such comments are off-topic for this group, period.   And in my role as Archive Maintainer I am locking this topic.

I would also ask all members, please, to stop treating what are clearly "announcement only" topics such as this one as an opportunity to drift any which way they please within the topic, even if what's mentioned is not off-topic for the group.  If you have something to say that is on-topic for the group, but unrelated to the ongoing topic at hand, then please start a new topic of your own with an appropriately descriptive title.
