Why does my shutdown menu always have an option to "update and restart?"
Running the troubleshooter now results in a pending update to 20H2; which I will soon install. Hopefully, that’ll fix it!

Why does my shutdown menu always have an option to "update and restart?"
I have tried both “restart” and “update and restart” many times to no avail. I have not tried a different screen reader since the problem seems a Windows not a screen reader thing.

Must I make a new "Repair Disk" if I create a new backup image using the legacy Windows 7 app?
Hi Brian! Indeed, I am aware of MS’s caution about this. However, I don’t know of a good, accessible, free or cheap third-party backup app. Could you recommend one? Thanks, Richard

How to set WiFi connection priority
Ah, so the “autoswitch” thing is not a Windows thing itself but, rather, something within the utility app you suggested. Got it. Thanks!

How to set WiFi connection priority
Thanks for this, Brian! BTW, do you know what logic Windows uses to connect to an available network? For example, if two networks are available, does it connect to the one with the strongest signal?

Hi Marie! I would bump the SSD up to say 512 GB and the RAM to 16 GB. The processor is fine given no heavy audio or video processing including gaming. The SSD and RAM is where you will see speed, not
