Does powering down, then cutting AC power, have a negative impact on a PC?
Hamit Campos
Brian if you want to take this please contact me off list. Or any one else that may. But basically the not private part isjust does it hurt the PC or Windows now to unplug the PC every night? How do SSDs do with you cutting power every night? What the private thing is the background as to why this is happening.

I got the free 1. But they do offer you to buy it. I got the offer of the discounted version after shutting it down. It expires or it would expire they said 4 hours after me shutting the app down. Why buy it? What difference would it make? Feel free to email hamitcampos@... off list.

Added a little more to the subject line as I have an ask for a refresher after. So quick report. Yes indeed it will convert M4A files Switch will. Wow it can even save up to a 7.1 surround sound wav file. Now my quick question for refresh. Brian remind me again that add blocker you used please? YouTube at least with Chrome won’t let you skip adds and so I may finally have to do it. I didn’t want to because those adds pay your favorite Youtubers you know, but oh wells.

Audible content can be played through the Audible website in a browser. Just login, go to your library, and once you find the selection you want to listen to, look for the play/listen now button.

Re: voices
Brian Vogel <britechguy@...>
Leonard,
Not knowing what specific voices you're asking about, I can't be any more specific than the following. In order for any given OneCore voice to become available for use the language pack with which it is associated needs to be installed under Windows 10. Typically, the only one that comes with Windows 10 is the one for the region in which you've originally said that you (and your Windows 10 instance) resides. In my case, that is English (United States). In Settings, Time and Language, Language Pane you can add languages with the Add Languages button. I've added English language packs for Australia, Canada, and the UK. This makes the various OneCore voices associated with those language packs available for my use, whether in Windows 10 itself or a screen reader. If you want to check what voices you currently have installed, it's the same Windows 10 Settings but choose the Speech Pane. The voice dropdown shows the voices currently available on your machine. You can also add languages and the voices for same in this pane as well with the Add voices button. That will open up the dialog that lets you search for languages, and dialects within certain languages, and once you've picked and installed the language packs you want the voices for those will appear in the voices dropdown. As is typical, Microsoft gives you more than one way to accomplish the same end. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 20H2, Build 19042

Subject: [win10] Sound Effects - Turn off Hi All,
I don’t remember where the sound effects come from while typing especially in Outlook 2016. Can someone tell me how to turn them off? I hear a couple of them that really annoy me, such as every time I type something that should be capitalized then autocorrect makes it capital, of when I’m typing a name into the “TO” field when starting an email. Some like the sound but I just find them annoying.
Are these SFX controlled within Outlook or through Win Ctrl Panel?
Thanks,
BP
