Intresting you hav to hold shift down to delete from the PC itself but when you hit delete on something on an SD card or thumb drive bam it's just gone. Doesn't go anyware where you could take it back or nothing it's just gone.

Mr. Snyder already did.  After you have your file(s) and/or folder(s) selected, simply hold down the shift key when you hit the delete key.  When you delete this way, the decision is final, and you cannot restore the file, since the Recycle Bin is taken out of the equation.

Please read through all posts in a topic before asking for what's already been offered, and by more than one person.
