Re: AMD Radeon Drivers Issue

Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES)

Thanks for all your help, are you using any AMD drivers on laptops e.g. Dells specifically?

Just downloaded the driver direct from AMD, the cpu fan is kicking away at the moment which is a little unusual but the machine is running anyway and that AMD box has not appeared at startup trying to install the driver.

Just seems that on laptops, they tweak the drivers sometimes and there we go J.

Actually fan has cooled down now, the fan does sometimes kick in when you jjust change something, probably to do with new files being downloaded and re-indexing and scanning them etc.

Thanks for all your help again!

Just concerning as I am working from home and I really can’t afford anything to go wrong.

Maybe I should have just cancelled the last download update, I should have known better than to change anything as there is always a risk, you would think I would have thought of this after all these years in I.T. J

Oh well,.

Take care and stay safe!

Consider trying direct from AMD.   I have Radeon Graphics on most of the computers in the household and have been having AMDs own utility manage the graphics driver updates for some time now.
